Ontario Jesters - Junior Development
Through the fundraising efforts of our membership, we support junior squash in Ontario. The funds that we put into these programs are very well received and are truly worthwhile. We continue to build on our successes and work to find new areas to make a difference.
Squash Ontario values the support from the Jesters and we continue to be the single largest supporter of squash in our province (read a Squash Ontario article about the Jesters). The organization has once again committed significant resources for the 2025-26 season to Squash Ontario. This year the Ontario Jesters will support several important programs that are highlighted below.
University Squash League
From the humble beginnings of this sponsorship program with Squash Ontario, we expanded our initiatives after an O.U.A.A. decision to reduce promotion of tier II and III sports left squash with only one year ending tournament. The Ontario Jesters stepped in to help build, fund and operate competitive leagues for University Squash in Ontario. In the beginning, Jesters Alex Carter, Iain Crozier and Ryan Forster provided the leadership to build a very viable year long league. Today, Ontario Jesters provide the program funding and Squash Ontario manages the program.
High School Squash
Over the past number of High School Championships, one of the main issues/concerns expressed by some schools is the cost associated with transportation to the event for their participants.
Through the generosity of The Ontario Jesters Club, Squash Ontario is fortunate to be in a position to assist with some costs associated with travel for the Ontario High Schools Championships.
